The idea of Black Rabbit was to honour my two pet rabbits. I found them in summer 2021, born on the patio of my favourite brewery in Calgary. I initially had only taken one home in hopes of giving him to my friend. That obviously didn't work out. So, I very quickly ended up with 3 baby bunnies causing absolute chaos in my apartment. Eventually my friend took his and here I am with two of the sweetest little buddies to embark on this new adventure with.
I have been in coffee for about 17 years. It is a constantly changing industry that has kept me interested and keeps me going.
I have spent years hoping for a cafe to call my own and working in many different parts of the industry to make that come to fruition.
I have worked as a barista and a manager, but my favourite was as an apprentice technician. This is where I have made long-lasting friendships and relationships with some of the best mentors anyone could hope for. Without them this dream would have never happened.
